NMC AL NAHDA
When designing this hospital, A2Z architects specifically used elements that make people feel safe and welcome. These elements were not only integrated in the exterior design of the building, but also in its interior. Curved edges and continuity of material were designed to stop bacteria and germs from accumulating in unreachable areas, unlike 90 degrees corners. This interior element also reflects in the exterior design of the building. Curved ribbons on the facade extend from the roof to the entrance. The color blue is typically associated with credibility, trust, knowledge, power, professionalism, cleanliness, calm and focus. Therefore, it was the color of choice for this project, since these qualities are highly valued in the medical community. In addition, the interior design includes blue glass stripes in the corridors that help direct people inside the hospital.
